How do I publish my page to my own domain?
Using your own custom domain to publish your landing pages has a lot of upsides. It is a great way of ensuring strong brand alignment, improved indexing on search engines (like Google), and better compatibility with analytics tools (like Google Analytics).
Search engines may not index properly pages hosted on .way.live, since it is shared by many users. Connecting your own domain enables your page to get better results and show up on the search results.
Google Ads, for example, requires that your display and destination URLs match, so your ad campaign can be reject if your pages don’t appear on your own domain.
When your domain matches your brand name or campaign messaging, it creates strong brand alignment and assures visitors (who may not know what Way is) that they’re in the right play and they can trust the page they’re on.
You’ll need:
A registered domain
Administrative access to your domain’s DNS panel in the hosting provider
An active Way subscription
Connecting your domain to Way requires a few steps.
Add your domain to Way
Setup DNS records with your hosting provider
Wait for the records to propagate
After registering your domain, you must configure it in Way, so that we can get ready to serve your pages to visitors.
Log in to Way
Go to your domain settings
Click “Add a custom domain”
The following dialog box will appear. Enter the subdomain that is going to be used to serve your landing pages created in Way (or the root domain, if you want to serve pages directly from it).
IMPORTANT: If you already have a website living at your root domain (e.g. www.acme.com), use a subdomain to publish your pages (e.g. pages.acme.com).
Click “Confirm” and your setup in Way should be done! Now head over to the hosting provider and point your domain to Way.
Your hosting provider is usually the company that you purchased your domain name from. A DNS record forwards visitors of a URL to a server. By setting up these records, you’re ‘forwarding’ your traffic to your Way landing pages.
Describing the steps necessary to add DNS records varies wildly due to the fact that there are many different hosting providers. Please check which hosting provider option below belongs to you and follow the instructions. If your provider is not listed, try following the general DNS setup instructions for a hosting provider that is not listed.

Now that you’ve set up your DNS records at your hosting provider, you must wait for it to propagate - ie, wait for your provider to communicate all the internet about the changes you’ve just made. This step can take as quickly as a few minutes or even some hours (up to days in extreme cases).
If you’d like to check if the setup is complete, head over to your domain configuration in Way (Step 1). You’ll see a yellow “Checking DNS configuration” notice in the status column. You may click “Verify configuration” to force a new verification, updating the current status.
Once your domain is correctly configured and all set up you should see a green “Active” status.
Edit the page you want to publish. Inside page builder, click the "Page Settings" option in the sidebar menu. Now, you'll be able to select the domain where your page will be published.
