Search engines may not index properly pages hosted on .way.live, since it is shared by many users. Connecting your own domain enables your page to get better results and show up on the search results.

Analytics Tools Compatibility

Google Ads, for example, requires that your display and destination URLs match, so your ad campaign can be reject if your pages don’t appear on your own domain.

Security to Your Visitors

When your domain matches your brand name or campaign messaging, it creates strong brand alignment and assures visitors (who may not know what Way is) that they’re in the right play and they can trust the page they’re on.

You’ll need:

A registered domain
Administrative access to your domain’s DNS panel in the hosting provider
An active Way subscription

If you can't find set up instructions for your specific DNS hosting provider, this article provides generic instructions on how to point your domain to Way's landing pages. See our full guide about connecting your domain to Way.

Go to your provider dashboard and sign in.
Navigate to the DNS management page.
Find an option named "CNAME records" or similar.
Create a new CNAME record.

In "Name", enter the domain name you'd like to have your pages published to. For example, if you have a domain called domain.com and would like to have subdomain.domain.com pointing to your pages, enter subdomain. If you want to use the root domain, enter www instead.

| TIP: some providers also use the @ symbol as an alias for the root domain. If leaving the "Name" field blank didn't work, try using @

In "Destination" or "Points to value", enter pages.way.live.

Save your changes.

DNS records can take up to days to propagate. Once it's ready, you can ensure your pages are published where you want by making sure your domain is Active in Way and your landing pages are accessible through the custom domain.

Choose “DNS” in the navbar (third button).

Choose “Add record”. If you want to use a subdomain, see step "6. Subdomain configuration". If you want to use the root domain, see step "7. Root domain configuration".

In “Name”, enter the name of the subdomain that you want to route traffic for (eg. pages).

Access your Google Domains account
Click on the domain you would like to use for your Way landing pages.
In the left menu, select DNS. A new page will appear.

Scroll until you find the “Custom resource records” section. If you want to use a subdomain, see step "5. Subdomain configuration". If you want to use the root domain, see step "6. Root domain configuration".

In the "Name" field, type the subdomain you would like to use for your pages. Examples: pages, promo.

Understanding the page builder interface

Sidebar and Toolbar

The sidebar and the toolbar are the main control panels of the Way builder and are located at the sides and the very top of the page respectively. From the left sidebar you'll access you will be able to add elements on the page, and from the toolbar, you will have access to actions such as Undo/Redo, Save, Preview, and Publish.

Adding Page Elements

You can add elements from the left sidebar. To do that, you must click on the element, drag and drop it to an empty space inside your page.

Once you click it, a dialog to set up SEO and OpenGraph information will be presented. If you have multiple domains connected to your account, you'll be able to point the domain where the page will be published to.
